On Oct. 18, 2008, I’m joining hundreds of runners for the Westside CDC "Run2Restore" in the heart of Katy. This 5k fun run raises money in the race to restore the family institution in our society. So far this year, we have raised $1.1 million to help thousands of Texans dealing with dysfunctional familes. We are making progress, but there is still much to do.

And that’s why I am running. With this journey, I’m helping the Westside CDC fund a 5 star retreat center in Schulenberg, TX called Jordan Ranch. At Jordan Ranch we will take people away from the hustle and bustle of everyday society and give them an opportunity to relax and restore.
